I draw inspiration from mountains, trees, the ocean, and the immense power of mother nature. These beautiful inspirations then intertwine with the emotional and spiritual experiences of my life and get output in the form of paint on canvas.
When an image or feeling exposes itself in my mind, I take to sketching it out in pencil, and refine it with pen. Some sketches I really love, so I'll move on to painting them on a larger scale! This is when the paintings get created.
Pen drawing was a first love in my art explorations. It's what I found to be comfortable and it's an art form that is quick and clean. I have challenged myself with creating pen drawings without any prior pencil sketching, but I've been pushing myself more recently to create well thought out designs that have been mapped in pencil prior to laying down any pen.
Water coloring is always interesting for me because I typically start with abstract color patterns or splotches, and then work with pen after that. I seem to gravitate towards faces and landscapes.
